"Fairy Land"

Hello to all from Australia. The weather is beginning to cool as autumn brings its change of season. Today I am feeling a little as though I'm "off with the fairies". I have days like these where I find it difficult to concentrate on any one thing in particular; not good at work because my mind is "jittery' and is very easily distracted.
Have you ever had this happen to you? Focus and gratitude is an important part of life. When I find myself in this 'grey' area, it is sometimes difficult to bring myself out of it until I realize what's happening and consciously change my thinking. This forces my mind to come back to earth and work with me instead of against me. It works and I find myself back on track fairly quickly. I am very grateful that I can do this
Our mind is a marvelous thing and will always influence our emotions. Our mind TELLS us how to feel. Now until you can remember that this is happening and know when to change your way of thinking, you will always be at the mercy of your emotions. Does this make sense?
When you wake up grumpy, knowing you have another awful day at work, you set yourself up for a grumpy day at work; and it just keeps getting worse! I'm sure you know this. BUT if you tell yourself "I am going to have a great day at work", and say this out loud to yourself with a smile on your face, then your emotions will follow and you will have a great day, just as you have told yourself you would!
Think about this the next time you are rushing to get to that meeting on time or running to catch the bus. It's ok to hurry in order to be on time but when you begin to rush, you end up making mistakes that cost you precious time. Your mind should never be rushed. Take your time and if you plan your day you will never feel the need to rush.
One more thing to think of when you are stuck in traffic and late for that meeting; listen, if you can, to mellow music and as the traffic flows, so will you feel mellow. Let's face it, getting all anxious about the situation will not make it any better and playing music that gets your blood pumping will increase the anxiety. You will only feel frustrated once you arrive at your destination and possibly make mistakes that will influence the rest of your day. Take the time to plan or plan on being late! Either way it's your decision.
God Bless
Remember to Remember and smell the flowers, watch the butterflies, listen to the sounds of nature, touch someones heart and taste life!
